How do I get emergency orthodontic care?
Whether one of your brackets came loose or you lost one of your clear aligners, the best thing to do is call our Worcester office. That way, a friendly member of our team can learn more about your orthodontic emergency, including how urgent the situation is, and schedule an appointment accordingly. They will also share what to do until you arrive, like using a piece of dental wax to cover the sharp edge of your braces or reverting to the previous set of trays while we work on having a replacement made.
How do I find the best place to get braces?
Although you might be tempted to hop on Google first, doing so can quickly cause you to feel overwhelmed if you aren’t sure what you’re looking for. That’s why we always recommend starting by determining what’s important to you as a patient! For example, are you looking for an orthodontist in your area who offers Invisalign? Maybe you’re interested in a provider who offers financial solutions outside of dental insurance or after-school appointments. Whatever the case may be, it’s helpful to know what you value before officially beginning your search.
Of course, if you reside in or around Worcester, you won’t have to look far. Our team at Simply Orthodontics is proud to offer a wide range of orthodontic treatments in-house. Plus, we have a Preferred Plan and morning, lunchtime, and afternoon hours throughout the week. So, pursuing a straighter smile is easier than ever before!
What do you do if you can't afford an orthodontist?
Oftentimes, patients assume that pursuing the straighter smile that they desire simply isn’t in their budget. If that’s what has stopped you from scheduling an appointment, you’ll be happy to hear that we welcome several financial solutions, starting with dental insurance. We also accept flexible financing with CareCredit, allowing you to break up the cost into smaller, more manageable chunks instead of paying for it in one lump sum. Plus, we have our Preferred Plan, which includes five years of retainer checks, a take-home teeth whitening kit for patients who are 16+, and several other cost-saving perks.
What level of education is required to be an orthodontist?
To put it simply, the road to becoming an orthodontist requires extensive training, years of study, and a lifelong commitment to continuing education. The first step is earning an undergraduate degree and being accepted to an accredited dental school in the U.S. From there, they embark on a three-year-long journey to obtain their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) degree. Then, they must complete specialty training in the field of orthodontics.
